New Store

Good Morning!
The new store at www.yapaclothing.etsy.com is up and running! I am working on making the rest of the clothing for the new store currently. I am really inspired by bright bold colors, as it is spring. So I'm using magentas and lime greens and bright yellows. Oh how I love SPRING!!! It brings out the bold in me. I'm also working on incorporating recycled clothing and things, appliques, laces, and vintage what nots. It's a great way to boost creativity, because you see something and you imagine how you might make this thing look good with a piece of clothing. I'm really loving placing irregular pieces on my clothing, such as big flowers, pieces of lace or sheer nylon here and there; it's really a blast!
Also I'm starting to work with fabric paints!!! Another thing I absolutely love, PAINT! I painted everything when I was younger, my walls, my parent's tires on their suburban (spray paint, oops! and in neon colors) my furniture; I just love changing things and giving old things a new look.
Spare time???
On another note I have been so busy lately, that I sometimes forget to eat and I love food :)
So, I not only have 2 etsy stores, www.yapaclothing.etsy.com and www.ikvothamashiach70.etsy.com but I also make baby bottle cozy's for this wonderful woman who has started her own company called cocoozy (website: www.cocoozy.com). She uses awesome high quality cottons to face these cozy's. You may be thinking, why would a baby need a cozy? Well, I'll tell you, so since the BPA scare with plastic bottles started, mothers started choosing glass bottles and BPA free bottles to give their children, which means BREAKABLE! Which means these breakable glass bottles need a cover and that's where cocoozy comes in! If you or anyone you know is still using a BPA infected or toxic plastic bottle, PLEASE inform them and do some research on the risks of giving your child a bottle that releases these toxins.

SO anyways, on top of that, I'm a wife to a wonderful man who has started to make surf kayaks and you can visit his website at www.lucidsurfkayaks.com . But this means I get to help with the fiberglassing (hey at least it's fabric!). It's awesome because you start thinking about all the things you can make with fiberglass... furniture, jewelry, countertops, sinks, tubs, hot tubs, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera! These kayaks are being offered at such reasonable prices, you can't resist! The price for most surf kayaks is $1500 and above, for new ones. These are staring lower than $1000! and they are made in the U.S., by hand, (talk about quality control!), by my husband, who is, at the least, a perfectionist and he cares much more about quality, than quantity. You can custom order your own, so you can make yours all carbon fiber or go a little cheaper and do all fiberglass, or you can do a mixture of both (carbon fiber hull, and fiberglass deck). He's even started playing around with the idea of the bulletproof, ballistic zylon! These kayaks are lighter and faster on the waves than any plastic boat you will ever use. You can also custom order different colors! Mine's going to be pink! Alright so there you have it go check it out! Don't be a couch potato this summer, get out and play in the water!!!!!

We're such do-it-yourselfers, it's not even funny, so that's why we're so busy. I'd rather learn how to make my own everything, rather than buy it, and I always wind up saving money that way. Plus I can learn a skill, whether it's breadmaking, house construction, or sewing my own clothing and other people's clothing.
My passion is definitely creating though. I don't care what it is, just let me create! I wonder if thats how God feels and he imparted that into me??? Of course His version would be revised to, I will create meaningful and intricate and detailed things of all kinds. I believe His creations are intentional and meaningful, where as mine aren't always. They are sometimes accidental.

Well, it's time for me to get to work, more sewing today!!WOOHOOO!
