My first is EveldasNeverland, http://www.eveldasneverland.etsy.com/ Evelda has a tantalizing, array of knitted and crocheted capelets, scarves, tops, necklaces and such, that make you want to pray for winter. They all have their own twists yet they have a cohesiveness so that if you saw one on the front page of etsy you would say that's Evelda! She resides in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, her items have been featured on the front page numerous times and I think it's just about time they make her the featured seller on the front page. Evelda was kind enough to take the time to answer all of my questions and she did a wonderful job. Here's a sneak peak at her work before we get started :)

Short bio:
Evelda:
It was my mom who taught my to knit when I was a little girl and I could finally make dresses for my dolls on my own! Then there was a time for making creations for family, friends, and myself and even though it never occurred to my that I could go beyond that, it must have been stronger than I had expected because here I am! I love to make things from scratch. I'm always thrilled when I have knitting needles or a crochet and some gorgeous yarn in hand and I don't know where I will end up with it.
Gabrielle: Where do you get your inspiration from?
Evelda:Ideas keep attacking me from all around! I just can't chase them away :) Seriously though, nature is always a great inspiration with its unique shapes and simple beauty, as well as ancient cultures like native American, pre-Columbus or Celtic.
Gabrielle: Do you have a job outside of Etsy?
Evelda: At the moment I am a full-time mom. I spend a very joyful time with my baby daughter.

Gabrielle: How did you come into your profession?
Evelda: Maternity which is a nice break from my regular job has inspired me to rediscover knitting and crocheting which I haven't done for quite a while. It's been a great sentimental journey for me!
Gabrielle: Is this what you imagined you would be when you grew up? If not, what did you want to be when you were little?
Evelda:Oh, absolutely not. I had so many ideas for my future job, from being a model to being a doctor, but I never imagined that I would be designing fashion one day. It's a real thrill and I am passionate about what I'm doing!
Gabrielle: What's your favorite snack/drink to keep you going during a long day?
Evelda: Coffee is always great, no matter of time of the day :)
Gabrielle: What is your favorite item in your shop?
Evelda: Each new item that I have just finished becomes my favourite. They are all designed to bring joy to their potential new owners. I always put a lot of passion and creative joy into making them and I hope they would be used with the same joy. If I were to choose just one, I'd probably go with my Forest Nymph capelet.

Gabrielle: How did you get the idea for your favorite item?
Evelda: I am surrounded by forests and this leafy pattern is one my favourtes at the moment (next to always classic cables), so the idea was just round the corner.
Gabrielle: If there was one place you could live and money wasn't an option where would it be?
Evelda: Southern Europe - Provence for example, or... New Zealand is one of those countries I always wanted to go.
Gabrielle: If you had a million dollars how would you spend it?
Evelda: I prefer not to think about it :)
Gabrielle: Do you believe in God?
Evelda: Yes. I understand God as pure Love and Goodness no matter of how people call Him. Faith gives me mental strength even in the most difficult situations.
Gabrielle: Do you feel like a part of you is visible in all of your work?
Evelda: I believe so! I put so much energy and passion into it that I'm sure a big part of me is visible in my work.
Gabrielle: Do you miss items when they sell?
Evelda: Yes :). I like to look at the pictures of things that got sold and I like to imagine how they live their new life. It's a thrill!
Gabrielle: Where is your favorite place to shop on Etsy?
Evelda: Etsy is such a amazing jungle full of treasures and every day you can find something new and fresh. I just love to browse through all the categories and to admire this unlimited creativity which you can't find anywhere else located in just one place.
